This Weekend! with Woodinville wineries/tasting rooms

Where will you be this weekend in Woodinville? So many choices!
Let's do this in reverse, eh? Roll 'em!:

Woodhouse Family Cellars Foundation Class #2 (cooking) with Chef Missy Will, Tuesday (1/19) 6:30pm, $85 + RSVP. Early Valentine's Menu includes: golden potato with cauliflower gratin, ginger-poached salmon with lime basil cream, lamb chops with mint almond pesto, and chili chocolate-covered strawberries. Wine pairing included. My stomach is on its knees...
William Church Winery
continues its "Good Pair, Bad Pair" cheese pairing with their wines, Sat. noon-4.
Sparkman Cellars will be at Cherokee Country Club for "An Evening of Orange", Sat. evening, to benefit the UT Medical Center. That's Tennessee, folks. Tasting room still open, Sat. 1-5pm. Rocky Top!
Matthews Estate After Hours, Fri. 6:30pm, comp. appetizers, acoustic jazz by Christine Sharp, and current releases at $7/glass.
Mark Ryan Winery
announces its new DHC, Dead Horse Club, wine club! Exclusive club wines coming. Minimum is 6 bottles, twice a year.
Gordon Brothers
Singles Mingle, Fri. 5-7pm, all singles receive 15% off purchases.
Efeste
Wine Makers Dinner at Dish It Up! (in Magnolia), Mon. (1/18) 6-8:30pm, $90 advance. Barking Frog Chef Bobby Moore will present a 3-course dinner paired with wines. Expect: smoked scallops & pumpkin soup, braised oxtails & pappardelle, and molten chocolate gateau. I'm guessin' a Feral, a syrah, and Big Papa will make an appearance at the table!
DeLille Cellars Reserve Tastings at the Chateau, Fridays-Sundays three slots: noon, 1:30, and 3pm, $35 advance. Includes: a special library wine, current lineup, table-side service, Riedel stemware, and savory cheeses. A must-do!
Covington Cellars
Winemakers Dinner, Sat. 6:30pm, $114.75 advance. Six courses, reception with the chef or winemaker, and barrel sampling.
Columbia Winery
Club Comedy Night!, Wed. (1/20) 6-8:30pm, $40 advance. Enjoy fresh flatbreads and the extensive lineup of wines while busting a gut from the comedy of Paul Mestemaker, Andrew Sleighter, and Mike Cummings! Excellent idea!
Chateau Ste. Michelle
Vintage Reserve Club Happy Hour Fridays, 5-7pm. On Sunday 1-4pm, it's Wine and Salt Pairing in the Wine Shop, $30, with a 20% discount on most wine purchases (let me guess that the Single Berry Select is not one of them!). On Wed. (1/20) 4:30-7:30pm in the Wine Shop, it's An Evening of Wine and Cheese with Spanish Tapas, $20. Also, if you can't make it there, then you must be at Rover's for dinner with Chef Thierry Rautureau and President and CEO Ted Baseler, 6pm, $175 advance.
Alexandria Nicole Cellars Happy Hour, Fri. 5-7:30pm.

Woodinville Warehouse Wineries' Third Thursday Wine Walk (1/21) 4-8pm, "Quiz Night". $18 advance or $20 cash day-of-event. Ticket tent at Patterson Cellars. Answer 25 of 40 questions and you will receive 1/2 off the next event.

Esquin Wine Merchants
Annual Wine Spectator's Top 100 Tasting, Wed. (1/20) 6:30-8pm, $60 +RSVP, limited to 40 people. Ten wines from the list will be tasted.

Calm before the storm as next week's lineup will be humon-genous! Salud!

How do the Wine Scores equate to each other?

Different people like to rate wines in different ways, and we aim to please. So we give you 2 options.

You can rate wine on a scale of 0-5 Glasses, or for finer detail, you can rate wine on a 100 point scale.

We do the conversion for you so all Wine Ratings display both values. The table below shows you the conversion:

= 50 points or less.
= 51 - 57 points.
= 58 - 62 points.
= 63 - 67 points.
= 68 - 72 points.
= 73 - 77 points.
= 78 - 82 points.
= 83 - 87 points.
= 88 - 92 points.
= 93 - 96 points.
= 97 - 100 points
