It is a December tradition for
Whitecliff to release a small batch of "methode chamoenoise" sparkling wine just in time for the holidays. This year they have an additional release, thanks to a little neighborly help from their friends at
Tuthilltown Spirits. They will be releasing their first Brandy.
The limited release of their Sparkling Wine follows the French method of Champagne by using Chardonnay grapes estate grown at Whitecliff. Disgorgement will be taking place this weekend, followed by the December 23rd release date. The Sparkling Wine will be selling for $24.95
The Brandy was just released and is made from estate grown Frontenac grapes. The distilling process took place at Tuthilltown Spirits, which is located just down the road from the winery. It was then finished with a year of barrel aging using the French approach of a used Chardonnay barrel. It is selling at the winery at $24.95.
